Emmanuel dreams of raising a generation of ethical, purpose-driven, and spiritually grounded youth who lead with integrity and compassion.
Growing up in the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village - facilitating reconciliation for individuals impacted by the 1994 Genocide - he experienced both challenges and God’s grace, which deepened his faith and shaped his calling to serve through education, mentorship, and creative innovation. He believes true leadership begins with humility, justice, and service.
He has actively served as a peer mentor, Bible study leader, and youth ministry volunteer, while also using his creative skills in graphic design to strengthen church outreach and inspire young people. Emmanuel founded a graphic design class for fellow youth, equipping them with digital skills and creativity. These leadership experiences have taught him to guide others with vision, resilience, and compassion, especially in the face of adversity.
After losing his father and with his mother unable to work due to illness, Emmanuel’s family faces significant financial hardship. A scholarship will allow him to join Trek, where he hopes to be mentored, grow in Christ-like leadership, and gain the tools to inspire young people in Rwanda to pursue transformation through education, faith, and community impact.
