Jeanne Marie envisions a continent transformed through effective, principled leadership. She believes that meaningful change in Africa depends on leaders who can guide others, support their teams, and implement visions at every level.
She is passionate about strengthening organizations, churches, and communities by cultivating leaders who can accompany and empower those around them to achieve sustainable impact.
Jeanne Marie’s Christian faith has shaped her calling and approach to leadership. Having committed her life to Christ while at university, she has consistently seen God’s hand guiding her journey. From leading prayer sessions to serving on her church council and General Assembly, she has developed a servant-leadership approach, combining responsibility with compassion. Her faith motivates her to mentor, inspire, and equip others, ensuring that her work uplifts individuals and communities with integrity and purpose.
Her personal and professional experiences have reinforced her leadership abilities. As the eldest of five children and the only daughter, she naturally took on leadership responsibilities early, later serving as class delegate, founding an association to support children affected by HIV, and today serving with Population Services International as Program Director for HIV/AIDs prevention. She is applying to the Abundant Leadership Institute to sharpen her leadership skills, learn from experienced mentors, and deepen her ability to guide teams and communities toward transformation in Burundi and beyond.
