Thank you for volunteering to lead a team for Trek for Transformation!
As a Team Leader, your role is to gather 4-5 people, encourage them to fundraise, and show up ready to hike!
Trek for Transformation raises scholarships for emerging leaders attending Trek, Kurumbuka Leadership Solutions’ leadership and discipleship program. These scholarships help remove financial barriers for young people who are ready to grow, lead, and invest in their communities.
The average scholarship for one Trek student is $750, and a full scholarship is $1,500.

Your Role as a Team Leader
You are helping transform the lives of young leaders. Your responsibilities as a Team Lead are:
Form a team of 4-6 hikers (including yourself)
Encourage each person on your team to raise $250
Regularly check in with your team along the way
Help your team stay on track with deadlines
Show up ready to hike together on May 30, 2026
Event Details
Date: May 30, 2026
Trail: Diez Vistas Trail
Route: Trailhead to Viewpoint 3 and back
Total hiking time: approximately 3 to 3.5 hours
Meeting location: 8:30 a.m. at White Pine Beach parking lot, Belcarra Regional Park
The trek is intended to be accessible to most people with a moderate level of fitness. Participants do not need extensive hiking experience. If you have questions about it, please contact info@kurumbuka.org
Participants should plan to arrive at 8:30 to find parking, connect with your team before the trek begins and hit the trail for 9am.
How to Build Your Team
Your team should consist of 4-6 members (including yourself). Complete your team recruitment by April 12, 2026.
As you invite people, share this link to the team portal [link], tell them know your team name, and ask them to follow the registration steps on your team page.
