Paul Townsend

Paul is a seasoned risk executive with significant experience advising and providing assurance in anti-corruption, risk management, ethics, compliance, audit, anti-fraud, and governance to Boards and executive management. A majority of Paul’s career has been spent in the shipping industry. He worked with Teekay Corporation for 16 years – beginning as the Director of Internal Audit before being promoted to Chief Risk Officer. Today, Paul is the Head of Risk and Audit Services for Atlas Corporation and Seaspan Corporation. Paul has also served as a Vice-Chair of the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network and currently as a Board Member of the TK Foundation. Passionate about leading like Jesus in the business world, Paul completed a Master’s Degree in Apologetics from Biola University in 2016. Paul has been active in leading mission trips, speaking on topics such as Christian Ethics and Apologetics, and leading community groups and the Alpha program in his community, Coquitlam, where he has lived with his wife, Katrina, and their four adult children for over 30 years.
