September 25, 2021: Florence Ofwono and Flavia Nakajjugo

The third edition of Chai Time with African Leaders featured Flavia Nakajjugo (Senior Leader, Watoto Schools and Founder of Teach Shift Uganda) and Florence Ofwono (Communications Manager at Victorious Education Services and Kurumbuka’s Uganda Country Representative). Flavia shared how she is promoting an abundant mentality in Uganda's education sector, how she has collaborated with other ALI alumni to increase impact across borders, and how ALI's growing network of like-minded servant leaders has the capacity to spark cross-continental transformation. Florence's testimony illustrated how learning about Asset-Based Community Development changed her life and led to sustainable change in her community. As Kurumbuka's Uganda Country Representative, she also discussed what excites her about the future of Kurumbuka in Uganda. The conclusion of the official event was followed by an informal question-and-answer period.

This edition of Chai Time with African Leaders featured Fred Buyinza (Founder and Head of Schools at Fruits of Hope Academy; Rwanda) and Sam Birondwa (Principal of Cornerstone Leadership Academy and President of Youth Impact Mission). These inspiring leaders shared about the callings God has placed on each of their lives, the personal and professional impact of Kurumbuka's Abundant Leadership Institute, and how developing a leadership ecosystem and empowering emerging leaders is critical for the development of Africa. The conclusion of the official event was followed by an informal question-and-answer period.


June 13, 2020: Dr. Barbara Ofwono and Erica Matasi

Our first edition of Chai Time with African Leaders featured Richard Taylor (Kurumbuka's Executive Director), Phocas Ngendahayo (Kurumbuka's Country Director), Erica Matasi (Co-Founder of Love and Hands), and Dr. Barbara Ofwono (Founder and CEO of Victorious Education Services). Viewers learned about Kurumbuka, our Abundant Leadership Institute (ALI), the personal and professional impact of ALI, and how ALI multiplies impact.
